Three Officers were reportedly gunned down while responding to an emergency call for a domestic violence of which one Officer died instantly.
The incident according to Bristol Police Department took place on Wednesday night October 12 at hours of 10PM in Connecticut, Bristol. Officer Alex Hamzy, Officer Alec Lurato and Sargent Dustin Demonte were the three officers involved in the incident that.
Bristol Police while addressing anchors explained that the man was already armed waiting for the officers to arrive the scene before opening the fire on them which lead to the death of one officer and the other two seriously injured.
Ned Lamonte, the Connecticut Governor on twitter ordered that flags should be lowered for the three fallen officers.
"I am directing flags in Connecticut lowered to half-staff effective immediately in honour of two @BristolCTPolice officers who were killed in the line of duty late last night while responding to an emergency call of domestic violence at a private residence in the town."
"This is a senseless tragedy, and my prayers are with their families, loved ones, and fellow officers. I also ask the residents of CT to keep in their prayers a third officer who was shot and is currently in the hospital with serious injuries"
